Gesso & Fur turns a photo of your pet into custom artwork using AI, and can print it on canvas and ship it to you. By buying or using Gesso & Fur you agree to these terms.
There is nothing to sign up for. When you buy, you are given a private code — that code is your ticket back to your order: it is how you upload your pet's photo, choose your style, and download or re-download your finished artwork. It is not guessed or shared with anyone but you, so treat it like a gift card: anyone who has it can access your order, and if you lose it we may not be able to find your order again without your payment receipt.
Every purchase is a one-time payment. Nothing here is a subscription, and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy again.
You are shown twelve styles of your own pet, then eight versions of the one you pick, before anything is finalised. Once you tap "finish my portrait" on a version, that is the image we prepare as your file — we do not re-generate it afterwards, because doing so would risk handing you a different picture than the one you chose. Look carefully and pick the one you actually want.
Every image is AI-generated from your photo, not a photograph of a real moment. Likeness, detail, and style vary between attempts, and no two renders are ever identical — that is also why a second style genuinely produces new artwork rather than repeating what you already have. We build in guardrails to keep your pet recognisably your pet, but we cannot guarantee a perfect match, and we would rather you judge that for yourself from the previews than take our word for it.
The finished artwork is yours to enjoy however you like — print it, frame it, gift it, post it, use it as a memorial card. We keep a copy only so your code keeps working for re-downloads and canvas orders. We do not use your pet's photo or your finished artwork to promote Gesso & Fur without asking you first — every sample you see on our site is a pet we generated ourselves, not a customer's order.
Canvas prints are made to order by our US print partner once you have chosen your artwork. Production and shipping time vary by size and by where you are shipping to; once your order ships you will be able to track it. There is a short review on our side before an order goes into production — if something looks wrong with your order, this is usually where we catch it, and you can also reach out yourself before it starts.
Payment is through Stripe, and we can issue refunds directly — we are not limited to a platform's standard policy. Because a portrait is delivered essentially instantly once you choose your favourite, we ask that you look carefully at your options before finishing; if something went wrong on our end (a technical failure, a badly broken render, a mixed-up order), contact us and we will make it right. A canvas order can usually be changed or cancelled while it is still being reviewed on our side; once it has gone to production it is being physically made and can no longer be changed, and once it has shipped it cannot be recalled. Either way, reach out — we handle these case by case rather than by a rigid rule.
Upload a photo of your own pet, or one you have permission to use. Do not upload photos of people, and do not upload illegal, explicit, or harmful content. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. We may refuse or stop service if any of this is misused.
Gesso & Fur is provided as-is, without warranty. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us.
Gesso & Fur is operated from California, United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any right you have under the consumer-protection laws of the place you live, where those apply to you.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continuing to use Gesso & Fur means accepting the current version.
