Privacy Policy

Gesso & Fur processes a photo of your pet and turns it into artwork. This page explains exactly what we collect, who we send it to in order to make your product, and how to get rid of it.

What we collect

• Your pet's photo — the one you upload, and a background-removed working copy we generate from it for some styles.
• The artwork we generate — the twelve style previews, the eight versions of the style you choose, and your final purchased file.
• What you type — for lettered styles like Memorial, the pet's name and any dates you add. Nothing else is typed in.
• Your email — collected by Stripe when you pay, so you get a receipt and so we can find your order if you contact us.
• Your shipping address and phone number — collected by Stripe, only if you order a canvas print, and shared with our print partner so they can ship it to you.
• Your redemption code — this is your access credential, not a password. Whoever holds it can view and download that order.

We do not run ads, we do not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts on this site, and we do not sell your data.

Who we send it to, and why

Making your artwork and shipping a canvas both require sending your data to a small number of specialist companies who do that one job. We use them because they do it well, not to pass your data around:

• kie.ai and fal.ai — generate your artwork, remove the background where a style needs it, and sharpen the final file for print. Two providers rather than one, so one of them being down does not stop your order — if the first cannot complete a step, the second one does it instead. fal.ai is also used to double-check the lettering on Memorial orders reads correctly before it ships.
• Supabase — stores your photo, your artwork, and your order record.
• Railway — runs the Gesso & Fur server.
• Stripe — handles payment. We never see your card number.
• Printify, and the US print partner they route your order to — only for canvas orders: they receive your final artwork and your shipping address to print and ship your canvas.

How long we keep it

We do not delete your photo or artwork automatically — that is what keeps your code working if you come back next month to re-download your file or order a canvas of something you bought a while ago. Your data stays until you ask us to remove it.

Deleting your data

There is no account to delete it from, because there is no account. Email us and we will remove your uploaded photo, your generated artwork, and your order record — this cannot be undone, so save anything you want to keep first. Stripe and, for canvas orders, our print partner keep their own records of the transaction independently of us, for as long as their own policies or the law requires; deleting our copy does not reach theirs.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, or to have it corrected — email us and we will help.

Children

Gesso & Fur is not for children. Whoever is buying and uploading must be old enough to agree to these terms where they live — the age of the pet is, naturally, unrelated.
